The first half of this century saw a greater change in the social and economic climate than in any previous fifty years.

"The Theatre" was no exception and we have tried to show this change by some of the songs and sketches which were performed during that period.

It is not a definitive history - it is a survey, a review . . . . . a celebration if you like.
Obviously, in a show such as this we can only present a fraction of what is available, so we have put in our favourites.
