Joy Allcock

Bio

In the early 1970's I suggested to my husband Derek that he should join Players and until his death in 1995 he was involved with practically every production. My daughters were also members and when Sarah was eight she played Scrap in Dear Octopus. Jane was in many of the pantomimes which was the highlight of each January when everyone's children joined in. We had Saturday matinees and tea before the evening performance. All this time I did the teas! I now help mainly front of house. I was very honoured to be made a life member after Derek died.
