Bio
Originally members had to be aged over eighteen plus and regular communicants. Junior Players loved being involved in the annual pantomimes and summer revues. My first performance was in 1951 in Cinderella. Later I 'starred' as a cow's front legs, baby elephant, fairy queen, genie – too many to mention. My favourite role was Vera in Stepping Out but I always enjoyed taking part in the fabulous musicals, Salad Days first, followed by 'Oliver!' Over 57 years, I've painted countless backcloths, made masks for Alice in Wonderland, Aztec tabards for Viva Mexico, ball gowns, period dresses and outrageous frocks for the Ugly Sisters.
